3rd Annual High School Art Exhibition
March 4–March 25, 2007

Once again this March, the TMA’s Carmichael Gallery will be filled with work from Tyler’s newest aspiring artists. These students, seniors from local high schools, have been chosen by their instructors to participate in this exhibition based on their talent and dedication to the arts. As part of our mission to enhance and nurture the visual arts, TMA is proud to offer the Museum as an exhibition venue for these promising artists as they refine their artistic skills and begin building their careers. This authentic museum experience will provide a foundational experience upon which to build their future lives in and with the arts. This exhibit is growing each year and we are pleased to see more schools participating along with the TISD High Schools, John Tyler and Robert E. Lee. Last year's participant Whitehouse High School is with us again and Bishop T.K. Gorman Catholic School has joined us for the first time.

The 3rd Annual High School Art Exhibition will be on view in the Carmichael Gallery from March 4 through March 25, 2007. An Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 4. The judges for the exhibition this year are James Pace (University of Texas at Tyler), Chris Stewart (Tyler Junior College) and Curtis Watson (Texas College). Support for the 3rd Annual High School Art Exhibition is provided by The Caldwell Foundation.

This exhibition is organized by the Tyler Museum of Art.
