Grammy Award-winner Joe Ely



Joe Ely Marks Return of TMA's Texas Songwriter Series May 16

Tyler, TX—A true Texas icon is ready to hit the stage as the Tyler Museum of Art turns up the volume once again.

Grammy Award-winning Texas troubadour Joe Ely will usher in the return of the TMA's Texas Songwriter Series with a live performance beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, May 16 in Tyler Junior College's Jean Browne Theatre, located in TJC's Wise Fine Arts Center.

Joining Ely for the debut of this intimate concert series will be rising Texas and Americana music star Jason Eady, scheduled to hit the stage as the show opener at 7 p.m. Ely's performance begins at approximately 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 for TMA members and $25 for non-members in advance, and $30 at the door pending availability. Ticketholders are invited for a post-show reception at the TMA immediately following the concert, with dessert and coffee provided by Starbucks. Concert seating is limited, so patrons are encouraged to make early reservations by calling 903-595-1001.

The Tyler Museum of Art is located at 1300 S. Mahon Ave., adjacent to the Tyler Junior College campus off East Fifth Street. Regular hours are 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and 1:00–5:00 p.m. Sunday. For more information, call 903-595-1001
